Softset Clip
Everything you copied, one shortcut away.
A searchable history of the text, links, images, and files you copy. Press ⇧⌘V, find what you need, and paste it. Passwords are skipped and nothing leaves your Mac.
Coming soon. Planned price: $12.99 once, with a 14-day free trial.
The problem
The clipboard only holds one thing.
Copy a link, then a phone number, and the link is gone. You switch back, find it again, copy it again. It happens dozens of times a day.
macOS 26 added a short clipboard history to Spotlight, but it forgets items after a week at most, can't pin anything, and can't be told to ignore particular apps.

Search, pin, and paste, just like the ⇧⌘V panel. Everything here runs in this tab with example items.
Anything you copied is a shortcut and a few letters away.
Press ⇧⌘V anywhere, type part of what you're looking for, and press Return to paste it. Things you paste all the time stay pinned at the top.
History
Text, links, images, and files
Clip keeps each kind with a preview, so a screenshot or a file you copied is as easy to find as text.
Search as you type
Type a few letters to filter your history. Use the arrow keys and Return, or ⌘1 to ⌘9 for the first nine results.
Pins
Pin the things you paste often. Pinned items stay at the top and are never removed by the history limit.
Your limits
Keep from 100 to 5,000 items, or only the last few days. Clear everything except your pins in one click.
Privacy
Passwords are skipped
Anything an app marks as concealed or temporary, as password managers do, is never saved.
Exclude apps
Copies made while an app on your list is in front are ignored. Common password managers are on the list to start with.
Pause any time
Stop saving copies from the menu bar, for as long as you need.
Stays on your Mac
History is stored in a file on your Mac. There's no sync service and no account.
Paste your way
Plain text
Press ⇧↩ to paste without the original fonts, colours, or links.
Paste stack
Copy several things, then press ⌘V for each one in turn, first copied first.
Edit before pasting
Press ⌘E to fix a typo or trim a copied item, and keep the edited version.
Filters and words in images
Show only links, images, files, or pins, or type from:safari. Screenshots are searchable by the words in them, read on your Mac.

Questions about Softset Clip
How is this different from the clipboard history in Spotlight?
Spotlight's history, added in macOS 26, keeps items for up to a week and can't pin them or ignore specific apps. Clip keeps up to 5,000 items or as many days as you choose, pins the ones you reuse, handles images and files, and lets you exclude apps.
Does it save my passwords?
No. Password managers mark what they copy as concealed, and Clip never saves those items. Common password managers are also excluded completely, and you can add any other app.
Why would it ask for Accessibility access?
Only if you want Clip to paste directly into the app you're using, which means pressing ⌘V for you. Without it, choosing an item copies it and you paste as usual.
Does it sync between Macs?
No. History stays on the Mac it was copied on. That's deliberate: clipboard history often holds private things.
What happens when the trial ends?
After 14 days Clip stops saving new copies until you add a license. Your existing history stays on your Mac.
