Terms of sale and license

These terms cover buying and using Softset apps, such as Softset Bar and Softset Type (“the apps”). Softset Studios is a brand of AINA Technologies LLC (“we”), which makes and licenses the apps. By buying or using an app you agree to these terms.

Free trial

Each app can be used free, with all features, for 14 days from when you first open it. After that it pauses until you add a license.

Your license

• A license lets you use the app it’s for on the number of Macs it states: one, or three for the 3-Mac Softset Bar license.
• The license doesn’t expire, and updates are free for the long term, including new major versions such as 2.0 and 3.0. Your key has no version limit.
• We intend to keep improving the apps for years, but we can’t promise to update them forever. If we ever stop, or ever offer a paid upgrade, the version you have keeps working with your license.
• You can move a license to another Mac by deactivating it on the old one.
• The license is for you. Please don’t share your key, resell it, or work around the license check.
• The apps are licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted here.

Payment and tax

Prices are in US dollars. Checkout doesn't add tax on top, so the price shown is the price you pay. Checkout may also show the amount in your local currency. Orders are processed by Stripe, which handles payment and receipts. The license to use the apps is granted by AINA Technologies LLC.

Refunds

If an app isn’t right for you, email hello@softset.app within 30 days of buying for a full refund. Once refunded, the license can no longer be activated. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

Your content

Your snippets, settings, clipboard history, and files stay yours and stay on your Mac. If you connect a third-party service, such as Stripe in Softset Notch, that service’s own terms apply.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make the apps reliable, but they’re provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an app is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version in force when you bought applies to that purchase. Questions: hello@softset.app.
