Softset Time
Your day, one click from the clock.
A calendar and world clocks in the menu bar. Click the date to see the month and today's meetings, join a call in one click, and get a reminder before it starts.
Coming soon. Planned price: $9.99 once, with a 14-day free trial.
The problem
Checking the date or your next meeting means opening an app.
The menu bar clock shows the time, but clicking it doesn't show a calendar. Seeing what's next means opening Calendar, finding the event, and hunting for the link to join.
And when you work with people in other time zones, working out what time it is for them is mental arithmetic every time.
Softset Time demo
An example of the panel under the clock, with sample events and world clocks.
Everything about today, from the menu bar.
Click the date for the month and today's events. A Join button opens the call. A minute before it starts, a reminder appears on top of everything, so you're never late because you were focused.
Calendar
Month at a glance
Click the menu bar date for the month, with dots on days that have events. Click a day to see what's on.
Join in one click
Time finds the link for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, and 11 more services in each event and shows a Join button.
Meeting reminder
A reminder with a Join button appears on top of everything when a call is about to start, a set number of minutes before, or not at all.
Next meeting in the menu bar
Show "Standup in 12 min" in place of the clock when a meeting is close.
Time
Your clock format
Choose how the date and time look in the menu bar, from a list or with your own format.
World clocks
Add up to eight places, with day or night and how far ahead or behind they are.
Time slider
Drag to see what time it will be everywhere at, say, 3 pm your time, before you suggest a meeting.
Week numbers
Show ISO week numbers, and start the week on Sunday, Monday, or Saturday.
Plan
Add events in plain English
Type "Lunch with Sam tomorrow at 1pm for 45 min" and press Return. A preview shows exactly what will be added first.
Your calendars only
Choose which calendars appear, where new events go, and hide invitations you've declined.
Join from anywhere
⌃⌥J joins the meeting that's on now or about to start, without opening anything.
Two time zones at a glance
Show one of your world clocks beside the date in the menu bar.

Questions about Softset Time
Does it replace Apple's menu bar clock?
It sits next to it. To save space, set Apple's clock to analogue in System Settings → Control Center → Clock Options, and let Time show the date and time.
Which calendars does it show?
Every calendar in macOS's Calendar app, including iCloud, Google, and Exchange accounts you've added in System Settings → Internet Accounts.
Can I create events?
Yes. Type something like "Dentist Friday 3pm" or "Offsite 12 Oct all day" in the box at the top of the panel and press Return. It understands days, times, ranges, lengths, and all-day events, and shows a preview first.
Which meeting links does it recognise?
Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Whereby, Slack huddles, Amazon Chime, GoTo Meeting, Jitsi Meet, Discord, Skype, BlueJeans, Around, Cal Video, and Livestorm, from an event's URL, location, or notes.
What happens when the trial ends?
After 14 days the clock and calendar keep working, but Join buttons, reminders, and the next-meeting countdown stop until you add a license.
