What's my screen resolution?
Your display's resolution, Retina scale, and aspect ratio, and how wide a half or a third of it is.

What the numbers mean on a Mac
- Looks like is the size macOS lays things out at, the figure System Settings shows under Displays. It decides how much fits on screen.
- Rendered at is that size multiplied by the Retina scale. macOS draws at this size for sharpness, then fits it to the panel, so it can differ from the panel’s own pixel count.
- Usable area leaves out the menu bar and the Dock, which is the space windows can fill.
Changing it
Open System Settings → Displays and choose a size. Larger text shows less on screen; More Space fits more, with smaller text.
